This week during my spring cleaning of the bathroom I did a fun little jewelry project. I am one of those people who is always running late. ALWAYS.
And when it comes to jewelry I am always throwing it on at the last second as I walk out the door. The main problem with this grab and go method is that I can never wear necklaces. Mine are usually kept in a jewelry box that is much to small for them and I have to spend a good 2-3 minutes untangling before I can put one on. Since I never have that time to spare, I usually have to skip it and my cute necklaces end up as just a waste of money. So anyway, as I was looking at my crazy mess of necklaces the other day, I remembered a cool blog post I had read for an Easy Jewelry Organizer and decided to give it a try.
Alissa at 33 Shades of Green put together this really cute cork board display of her jewelry.
I thought it was such a great idea! You can click the link to read exactly how she did it. I will probably eventually do it this way when I find time to pick up supplies. However I attempted to make it work without buying anything and I didn’t have any cork tiles lying around. I did happen to have some extra bathroom hooks from Target I used at my old apartment. I also wanted them to be out of the way and don’t have a walk in closet, so I decided to use the inside of my bathroom cabinet. I simply glued these hooks in a little row on the inside and now my necklaces hang freely without getting tangled up. I do have to wrap the longer ones a couple times since the shelf is a smaller space but they actually stay pretty nicely this way. So easy:)

agreed on the necklace-grabbing at the last moment! ararrrrrghggh.
Good for you, Laurie! That was very a creative solution. You didn’t let the “but I don’t have” stop you from accomplishing your goal!
we have different jewelry boxes at home and most of them comes from my mother who like to collect jewelry boxes “`;
